White Designer Kitchen in Loveland

This transitional kitchen was for a repeat client. After seeing our cabinets in her bathroom, she couldn't wait to get them in her kitchen.

One of the many unique features is the bench that is built into the island.

The microwave was built in and centered on one wall, adding depth and architectural detail.

The desk, previously outdated and not functional, was upgraded to include cubbies for mail, pull-out keyboard tray and file drawers.

Opening things up in Montgomery

These repeat clients had a desire to open the kitchen up to both the dining room and family room. Opening things up to the dining room really helps guest feel welcome as soon as they walk into the door, and helps tremendously while entertaining. Removing the wall between the family room and kitchen helps mom and dad keep track of the little one while she plays in the family room and they cook dinner.

The removal of soffits, building in the refrigerator, and other small details really make a big impact in any kitchen remodel.

In addition to new cabinets in the kitchen, they also wanted new built-in cabinetry in the family room to match, since it is now opened up directly to the kitchen. We installed conduit from the cabinet on the right to an opening behind the TV so the owners could have the components and wires completely hidden. Also, we added more storage behind doors to have places to hide toys and things they want out of sight.

The walnut top at the peninsula matches the walnut mantel in the family room, creating connecting features that also help to unify the spaces.

Soapstone counters, along with the walnut top and dark stained oak floors (all naturally oiled) help keep things warm and textured with the white cabinets and white backsplash.

Unique custom features like the wine storage and 2-stage angled crown mold leave no details unconsidered.

Period Kitchen in Oakley

While the homeowners loved their neighborhood, with downtown Oakley within walking distance, they didn't love their kitchen. It was small, enclosed, and very lacking in both storage and character.

We suggested to the contractor to open things up to both the dining room and family room, which required some major structural changes and precise construction techniques.

We also suggested opening the non bearing wall from the front.

This created views from the front door all the way to the rear family room, something the homeowner really appreciated for it greatly increased the feeling of openness for the entire first floor.

In order to achieve the character piece, we decided on inset cabinets with simple flat panel doors and slab drawers.

We decided on a distressed walnut top, finished with OSMO Poly-x natural oil, to preserve warmth and texture.

In order to maximize storage, we took advantage of small spaces by adding in-cabinet accessories.

In the end, our team was able to deliver to the clients exactly what they envisioned: a kitchen that they loved.

Highly Customized Master Bath

This client, after interviewing several others, chose us to help her remodel her bathroom. The main reason, as I came to find out at a later date, was because she felt like we listened to her.

It is amazing how often this comes up in reviews with past clients. It seems like a basic human principle, but in our industry it is more common than not to have an architect, designer or contractor push their agenda instead of listening, learning and collaborating together.

Not only did the client want a single vanity sink and sitting make-up area, she also wanted additional storage. This was accomplished through creating a matching set of drawers with another mirror and glass display cabinets above.
